As the lights went down and Hatebreed came on there was quiet a large to response for the
support act. They may only have been on for half an hour but in that time they defiantly warmed the crowed up.
Then
it was time for Slayer they came bursting on with “God hates us all”. Getting the crowd moshing from the word
go. They played all the favourites with all the anger and hate that you would expect for them.
Now
it was time for the all mighty Slipknot. The lights went down and the screams started and they only grew louder as Cory greeted
us all in his typical rock God style.
The
‘Knot had something special for everyone as “Vermillion” started playing, they put on there masks from the
video, which made this great song all the better. Next came “pulse of the Maggots” and it had every Maggot joining
in and throwing them self’s around to it. It was so amazingly loud that the floor shook!
By now Cory really had the crowd going but the real star of it all was the wonderful
all mighty drumming God Mr Joey Jordison. Every pound on the drum was pure perfection.
Then
it was time for “Spit it out” and as the song got to its almighty build Cory told everyone to “get the fuck
down” and from side to side back and front every Maggot got on there knees and
when Cory shouted jump the fuck up every one jumped the fuck up!
Surfing
was saved till last and the energy given by the band and crowed was amazing. And now it was time for the Gods to leave the
stage but not before sweet little Joey and Cory gave each other a hug and thanked the crowed.
The
gig could not have been more perfect.
